Gym-N-Learn

Mission Statement: 

We want to provide your child with a fitness-based learning program; in a fun, creative and safe atmosphere. Our goal is that each child develops socially, mentally, and physically in preparation for school and the rest of their healthy lives.

Ages:

The program is for children ranging in age from 3-5 years old. Exceptions will be made on an individual basis. Must be potty trained. 

Days and Times:

Class will be held on Tuesday and Thursday and will run from 9:00-11:30 am. If we need to close due to weather we will schedule a makeup class. 

Attire:

Girls should wear a gymnastics leotard with a pair of shorts. Boys should wear a t-shirt and shorts. A sweatshirt should be brought for all children for cool days. Please make sure to send your kids in shoes they can easily put on themselves.

Price: 

$190/4 week session due on the 25th of every month

This price includes 4 hours of instruction per week, as well as 1 hour of dance and gymnastics. 

$55 annual supply fee (covers yearly registration cost as well as snacks provided by DMG)

Student is responsible for school supplies on given list. 

2024-2025 School Year Supply List: 

  • 1 hard plastic pencil Box- Standard size

  • A Box of 24 Crayola Crayons

  • 2 Elmer’s Disappearing Purple Glue sticks

  • 2 dry erase markers-bullet or chisel point

  • 2 Mr. Clean magic erasers

  • 2 folders

  • 1 book bag that a folder can fit in

Curriculum:

Language & Listening

The students will start to recognize letters and sounds. They will learn through music, stories, small group instruction and games.

Social Skills

The students will start to understand feelings and ways of communicating them to others. They will work in small groups to learn how to work together.

Science & Sensory

The students will learn how things look, feel, smell, taste, and sound. They will also learn about plants, animals, insects, weather and nutrition.

Motor Skills

Through gymnastics and dance, your child will start to develop large motor skills such as skipping, jumping, hopping, and hand/eye coordination.

Numbers

The students will learn to recognize, count, write, and order numbers 0 through 20, working up to 100! They will also start to learn addition concepts.

Art

The students will experiment with colors, shapes, and textures through a variety of hands on activities. They will learn basic concepts of cutting and coloring.

9-9:15 Morning work and open stations

9:20-9:40 Calendar time

9:40- 9:55 Papers

9:55- 10:00 Get ready for gym or dance time

10:00-10:30 Gym or dance time

10:30-10:50 Snack and story time

10:50- 11:15 Stations time

11:15-11:30 Art time
